Stick to what you know

Bill Cosby is one of my favorite comedians of all time.  He also recorded one of the worst covers I have ever heard. Here it is for your enjoyment.  Notice I said one of the worst- maybe the worst I have ever heard came from William Shatner. I say stick to what you know.  In the case of Bill Cosby, that's not redefining the vision of Lennon/McCartney.  In the case of Shatner, well, that's the kind of freaky shit he does.
