Do not go gentle into the MRI chamber

Kevin finally got his MRI last night, he made them give him the entie dose of sedative but he they got the test done. He had a pretty quiet night last night, one of the nurses said he was "higher than the price of gas". I don't blame him, the isolette for the MRI is pretty confining and they packed him in so tight. I guess they have to keep him from moving to get a good test, otherwise it would all be for nothing and that was a huge effort.
His jaundice is gone and his skin looks a nice healthy color, they also took him off the dopamine (for blood pressure) last night and will keep an eye on that. Today after the MRI results come back we will have a better idea of how to proceed with his surgeries.
7:30PM- We got the results of the MRI and I think tomorrow we are going to sit down with Kevin's neurologist to learn what it all means. The doctor spoke in vague generalities. The optic nerves are underdeveloped (which we knew) and he has some degree of vision impairment. His pituitary gland is abnormal (which we suspected). He has a malformed corpus callosum, the effects of that vary from person to person, some are known to fuction fine without it. There is a fourth finding from the MRI and I need to get more information before I post anything. We both have quite a few questions to as the neurologist when we meet.
As far as the rest of Kevin's issues, he seems to be rallying. His jaundice is looking good, blood pressure is favorable and his kidney functions have improved to the point where dialisis is not an urgent need but it still looms on the horizon.
We took the kids back to the house for a long break today, we have been going nonstop for some time now. We did some laundry and played in the back yard. It was a nice break, Jon chased a moth around and Annie had climb time. After we had enough, we all went up to our room and took a 2 hour nap. That was just what we needed. I have gotten compliments from many people about how well behaved my kids are, especially Jon and how good he is with his sister. I know we have been asking a lot from them and they keep coming through for us. I am very proud of my family.

We're getting our house ready to clear and packing up what's left to go with us...we'll soon be on the road, checking in when we can. Thoughts and prayers are always with ya. Lots of love to all
