The doctor called me today to talk about some setbacks Kevin is having. His kidneys are not working as well as they should be, he only has about 15% of his kidney function which is causing water to build in his lungs. This may be where his breathing trouble is coming from. Sometimes he has to really work to breathe. They suggested dialysis and to do that they will have to put in a tube.
Kevin had another heart echo today and found that the PDA has still not closed. That is affecting his lungs as well. They suggested going in and closing that too. Tomorrow we are going to have an in depth meeting with some doctors to talk about our options in more detail. Right now he's pretty comfortable, I think they may even give him a strong sedative and take another stab at an MRI since he wouldn't let them do one last night. The rascal has spirit.

What an awesome family picture. Kevin you are really looking good! It's been a crazy few days on our end, and more to come till we get to MI, but I want you all to know that you are never far from our thoughts and in our prayers. Tell special K. to keep fighting! Love you all very much...
