Right now, a bowl of soup would be nice

Tina got a call today around 11 that the surgeon had Kevin scheduled for 3:30. I left work and picked Jon up from school, dashed home and washed the shop dirt off me and piled into the van to rush to his side. When we got here we found out that Hurricane Ike's arm has grown long. There was an equipment failure and the parts or support suppliers are located in Texas and have evacuated. Hurry up and wait. Thanks to the long list of people who jumped through hoops to get us here "on time". The procedures are rescheduled for tomorrow around 1:30. There are 3 procedures that will take about 4 hours.
  1. Ladd procedure
  2. Nissen Fundoplication
  3. GT tube insertion

They have done these procedures quite a few times here but not very often at the same time. I think that's a good thing, take care of three problems at once. The surgeon will be talking to us about the operation in more detail later.
