The Shelter

Birthday Girl




Four years ago we celebrated Anny's birthday out at the Ghost Forest. When we got out there, we were pleasantly surprised to find someone had built a simple lean to shelter from the abundant supply of sticks and logs. We sat in the shade and enjoyed our picnic and birthday cupcakes. Every year since then, the shelter has gotten a little bigger.
Yesterday we ventured out to our old playground and found the shelter elves have been busy again.
The weathered structure has been a regular stop for us over the past few years and looks to be as durable as any other part of the dunes.
